Are you ready to start a career in a high-demand, high-growth occupation?
Joliet Junior College received grant funding to provide workforce training opportunities that will enable participants to find work with pay above the
average living wage.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Funding for these programs are provided by the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) Workforce Equity Initiative. Training is available at no cost if participants meet the grant’s eligibility requirements.*

 

*Priority registration will be given to participants from underserved populations. As part of this grant initiative, at least 60 percent of participants must be African American. https://online.flippingbook.com/view/65480/2/

 

PROGRAM BENEFITS
Grant participants receive:
• foundational training to start a career in a growing industry
• textbooks and supplies
• gas card or bus pass
• a stipend for completion
• career readiness training
• the opportunity to earn the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

• job placement assistance

CAREER READINESS TRAINING

You’ll improve your overall career readiness with lessons in teamwork and communication, as well as, hands-on training in computer basics. Plus, you’ll work with a Certified Resume Writer to polish your resume, cover letter and interviewing skills. By the end of this training, you will have completed the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) and have scores to present to a potential employer.


JOB PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE
