Pastor david a. williams

Rev. David A. Williams, the son of the late Dr. Peter F. and Brenda Ann Williams, serves as the Senior Pastor of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Lockport, Illinois. A proud native of Freeport, Illinois and a product of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where his father Dr. Peter F. Williams served as pastor, David accepted Christ at the tender age of six.  On August 10th, 2008, Rev. Wiliams answered the call of God on his life, preached his first sermon and was licensed to preach the Gospel. He was ordained in 2015 by Morning Star Baptist Church, Kankakee, Illinois, under the leadership of Rev. C. Ramónt Morris. Pastor Williams has earned the Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia, and the Master of Public Administration Degree from National Louis University in Chicago, Illinois. On September 8, 2024, the members of the Shiloh Baptist Church of Lockport, Illinois responded positively to the voice of the Lord and called Pastor Williams to be the 10th pastor in their 119 years of ministry to the 
Lockport community.  A devoted steward of God's Word, David’s dedication to ministry spans nearly twenty years, catering to the spiritual nourishment of children, youth, and young adults. His impact extends far beyond the confines of his local church, as evidenced by his involvement in 
various leadership roles within the National Baptist Convention, both at state and national levels.

In addition to his service in ministry, Reverend Williams is passionate about serving people. He is committed to elevating, encouraging, and empowering the community and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He sees the Gospel as a transformative force that, through the power of the Holy Spirit, renews minds, reshapes hearts, restores neighborhoods, and revives communities.  He is a family man, who shares his life with his beautiful wife Dr. India, and their remarkable children, Katrell, Kenya, Aaliyah, Italy, and Egypt.
