abc's of salvation

The ABC’s of Salvation is a simple way to explain the Christian message of how a person is saved. The core idea is that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, and the ABC format makes the steps easy to remember.

Here are the ABC’s, grounded in Scripture:

A — Admit

Admit that you are a sinner and need God’s forgiveness.

The Bible teaches that all have sinned and fall short of God’s standard (Romans 3:23). Sin leads to spiritual death (Romans 6:23). But God promises forgiveness when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9). ABCJesusLovesMe

B — Believe

Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again.

John 3:16 says that whoever believes in Jesus will not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus’ death and resurrection are the foundation of salvation (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). ABCJesusLovesMe

C — Confess (and Choose)

Confess Jesus as Lord and choose to follow Him.

Romans 10:9 says that if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Following Jesus means surrendering your life to Him (Matthew 16:24). ABCJesusLovesMe
